Kabuki Ensemble Level 1

Kabuki is a highly stylised type of Japanese theatre. Its literal translation to English is “The art of singing and dancing” which we believe is a very fitting name for this class.

Kabuki Ensemble Level 1 is an introduction to Musical Theatre.  It is a way for either your son or daughter to test the waters to see if they want to explore all three performing arts disciplines. Much like our acting classes, Level 1 develops scripts as a class by using roleplay and improvisation. The instructor will then work with the students to teach some innovative choreography to songs not just from the great musicals but also from many other well-loved tracks.

Students will not only have the chance to perform as an ensemble but also as soloists. No student at Cinta Stage should feel pressured to be a part of the spotlight, we make sure there is always a role for everyone; after all there is no such thing as a small part! One of the great things about Cinta Stage is that we allow our students to explore and give them the tools to make their ideas a reality. This creates a unique and diverse environment to create fun and original material of which they can be proud. We find by implementing our core values we help build strong relationships between our students.

There will be a small studio performance at the end of Term 1 that parents, guardians and family members are welcome to attend. At the end of Term 3 our Rising Stars, Creative Sensations and Kabuki Ensembles will join together in creating an original and entertaining end of year show.
